About
Apro Tarot
If you read my first book, in chapter one I discuss how the one thing that all religions have in common is faith. Whether good or bad we all put faith into different beliefs and practices. As an omnist I’ve learned to see things from different perspectives and appreciate their dualities. I decided to create Apro Tarot to shed light on what was once taboo and tear down stigmas on what spiritualists do.
Growing up in the border town of Weslaco Texas in the 80s meant that I didn’t have any outside resources for knowledge other than school itself. I thought egg cleansings and tarot readings were normal and everyone’s grandma was constantly trying to cure them of evil eye. As I got older, the looks got weirder, and I eventually stopped talking about it. It took me leaving everything I’ve ever known behind to get to know myself and remember who I was. It’s true what they say, A lot of finding who we are is getting back to what we loved and did as a child. This one is for you grandma Lile.
Being of both Latin and African American decent has taught me more than just being of different race but of how interconnected a lot of spiritual practices and ancestral wisdom tie together. Thank you for your open mindedness to the lighter side of tarot.
